We set out to explore how human gestures could be understood, translated, and brought to life through intelligent systems.
Using computer vision and machine learning, we developed an experimental prototype of a robotic hand that mimics real human movement.
The process combined 3D modeling and printing, precise calibration of servo motors on Arduino, and a Python-based MediaPipe system capable of detecting and interpreting finger positions from a live camera feed.
Through countless iterations of data normalization, calibration, and fine-tuning, the hand evolved into an expressive form of motion, a bridge between creativity and engineering.
